Do I need to build a PC myself?

No. You can start with a prebuilt PC and still get the main benefits of switching from console, especially if you value a faster start.

Prebuilt first is valid

A prebuilt can reduce complexity on day one. You can learn parts and upgrades gradually after you are already playing.

  • Faster time to first game.
  • Single product decision instead of many component decisions.
  • Still leaves room for later upgrades in many systems.

DIY later is still an option

Starting prebuilt does not lock you out of learning. Many players switch to part-by-part upgrades after they understand what actually matters to their games.
